About The Event
The Genesis
2017 I took my first official walk along the Elizabeth River Trail. It was an explorative effort. At the time, The City of Norfolk was working on major upgrades to Eastern section of Norfolk. One of the amenities I was pushing for was a Community Outdoor Workout center. At the time, SOME of US only saw a few economic ways to exit poverty; one of those being the Military, which has a physical fitness exam, many could not pass. My hope was to create a culture that focused on the importance of physical health.
The MISSION Statement:
We will not only take a moment to invest in our own individual health, but also to gain a sense of enlightenment about what is happening around us. We will explore this space we call home and those whose gifts and abilities make home Awesomesauce.
The OBJECTIVE:
We plan for various organizations and creatives to bring awareness to just what NFK and its neighbors have to offer.
The Plan:
This will a day of exercise. Bikers will tour the trail as well as walkers, runners, and we even offer assisted bike rides for those who need a little help.
Parking Requirements
All participants in this event *MUST* park in the garage attached to The Dominion Tower ONLY. Also *MUST* connect with Neptunes Furry Coffee for Validation of Parking.
